AIMS AND SCOPE

THE ASTURIAN JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS has come into being with the objective of contributing to the real world of economics and to serve as a means for the diffusion of academic papers. A further aim is to facilitate communication between institutions and scholars with an interest in these matters. This journal is inspired by two fundamental criteria -quality and intellectual open-mindedness.

THE ASTURIAN JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS welcomes all fields of economic analysis and aims at attracting a wide spectrum of themes of scientific relevance and interest. It hopes to include also papers that contribute to the knowledge of economics from borderline fields and interdisciplinary standpoints. Special and continuous attention will be paid to the Asturian economy.

THE ASTURIAN JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS , far from being a means for the expression of localised opinions, aims at being a strictly academic journal, able to guarantee the quality of the papers diffused by means of its Editorial Board, which assumes full intellectual responsibility for the publication.

THE ASTURIAN JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS is a totally independent publication, appearing at four-monthly intervals. It is published by the Asturian Association of Economic Studies to which the members of the Editorial Board belong. It also has the backing of various institutions and bodies of the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias.
